Computer chip company Nvidia’s promise last year to train “AI ambassadors” on Oregon’s college campuses and get foundational AI concepts taught in schools has so far gone largely unmet, according to an inquiry. The AI Ambassadors project included $10 million in state spending to expand AI education in schools and colleges, with funding primarily awarded to Oregon community colleges and universities.
