For some Los Angeles community college students, taking classes at night is their only option. Some have daytime jobs. Others must care for family members during the day. There are also the unlucky few who couldn’t find a spot in afternoon or morning classes. Whatever the reason, attending college after dark comes with a host of challenges besides staying awake for lectures.
