New CEO

Daniel Mosser will be the eighth president of West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC). He is expected to assume the post on September 16. Most recently, Mosser was vice president for continuing education and workforce development at the College of Southern Maryland. He previously served for nine years as vice president for workforce and continuing education at Prince George’s Community College in Maryland. Prior to that, he held positions with Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Home Builders Institute and the National Association of Home Builders.

Appointments

Allison Dolan-Wilson is the new vice president of institutional advancement at Northern Essex Community College in Massachusetts. She was most recently executive director of alumni relations for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a position she held since 2014. From 2008 to 2014, Dolan-Wilson worked in advancement at the University of California, Irvine.  

At Broward College in Florida, Marielena DeSanctis is now permanent provost and senior vice president for academic affairs and student services, and Mildred Coyne is senior vice president of workforce education and innovation. DeSanctis assumes her post with almost six years of experience as an engineer and 21 years in K-12 and higher education, including previously serving Broward College as president of the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus and vice president for student services. Coyne has been instrumental in leading Broward UP, the college’s community-centric approach to improving social mobility through increased postsecondary education access and attainment. Joining Broward College in 2013 from Eastern Florida State College, Coyne is a 25-year professional in the Florida College System.
