The road to convention: An experience like no other

The 2017 American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Convention April 22-25 in New Orleans is where the nation’s community college leaders will come together to network and hear from colleagues and stakeholders, including foundations, government officials and business and industry. Below, AACC board member and Gateway Technical College  President Bryan Albrecht notes why he’s gone to every AACC convention for more than a decade.

Bryan Albrecht, president of Gateway Technical College in Wisconsin, started attending the annual AACC convention in 2004 and he hasn’t missed one since. There’s a reason for that.

“The AACC convention is an experience that cannot be replicated. The opportunity to hear from and interact with colleagues on the most innovative promising practices impacting the mission of our college is critical to my professional leadership development,” Albrecht says.

The annual convention builds upon the “collective network of resources that serve as the foundation for personal and professional success,” he adds.

Register today to attend the 97th AACC Annual Convention in New Orleans April 22-25. Early-bird rates end Jan. 27.
