Del Mar College's Youth Aquatics Session 4 swimming lessons for elementary and middle school students run July 19 through July 29. Session 4 is the final session offered.
Four lesson times are available--3:40 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 5 p.m. and 5:40 p.m.--Monday through Thursday for eight 30-minute lessons in the Natatorium in the Gymnasium on Del Mar College East, Baldwin Blvd.
Tuition is $35 and must be paid at time of registration. Registration is underway and must be made in person in the Center for Economic Development, Del Mar College Annex, 3209 Staples.
Youth must be age five as of August 1, 2009, to qualify for the program (no exceptions). Organizers recommend that students be at least 48 inches in height. Students will be assigned to an instructor according to skill level: beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate, advanced swimmer and basic water safety.
Parents/guardians are required to present a birth certificate and Social Security card at time of registration.
