Flamingo Fandango at the So. Texas Botanical Gardens
CORPUS CHRISTI--Flamingo Fandango, a gregarious exhibit of 100 innovatively-dressed pink plastic yard flamingos designed by Coastal Bend professional and amateur artists plus a huge flock of naked birds continues at the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center, in Corpus Christi, through Labor Day Monday, September 6.
This is the fourth annual Flamingo Fandango in the Botanical Gardens & Nature Center's 180-acre mix of gardens, native habitat and natural wetlands.
You'll meet Chick-a-Chick-a-BOOM (tribute to Carmen Miranda); Lady AnteMelon; Herman F. Lamingo Avian Engineer; Flamingo Ray Vaughn; Vino Flamingo; Full Bird Colonel and dozens of others in this year's cleverly-costumed flock. And each visitor gets to cast a ballot for the VISITORS CHOICE AWARD. . .
The object of Flamingo Fandango is to make Corpus Christi's warm, breezy slightly sultry summer a lot coolerband put a whole new spin on NATURE TOURISM!
