Current Fall Registration Period at DMC Continues Through Aug. 13

Grand opening event planned for new Northwest Center in Calallen on July 27; Registration available at new facility beginning Aug. 2



The fall semester at Del Mar College may seem far off. In reality, current and new students should register now to get the best course selection. The College's current online and in-office registration runs through Aug. 13 with a payment deadline of Aug. 17.


Fall courses begin Monday, Aug. 30.


Students can register online by going to www.delmar.edu and clicking on the "WebDMC-Login/Email/Registration" link on the homepage. Online registration is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Instructions about how to register online, along with a tutorial video, are available on the registration page. The fall class schedule is also available.


Inpiduals can also register in-office with academic departments offering their majors during regular business hours on the campuses where the departments reside.


On-campus advising appointments for assistance in course selection are available 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. Contact the DMC Office of Admissions and Registrar at 698-1255 or 1-800-652-3357 for more information.


Beginning Monday, Aug. 2, students living in Calallen, Tuloso-Midway and surrounding areas can register at the College's new Northwest Center, located at 13724 Northwest Blvd. in Calallen (near the intersection of Highway 77 and FM624). Hours of operation for registration at the Center will be 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Fridays and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Inpiduals can also call the Northwest Center for more registration information at 698-2450 beginning Aug. 2.


Registration for fall courses at the Northwest Center is also available online and through departmental offices on the East and West Campuses.


The College will hold a grand opening of the Northwest Center from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27. The public is invited to tour the center and view demonstrations by programs that will offer courses at the College's new educational facility that will serve Northwest Nueces County.


The facility is the former Calallen Orthopedic and Sports Medical Center with the Corpus Christi Medical Center. The College will offer courses to students majoring in high demand programs in health care and public safety, along with new curriculum in engineering that will support alternative or renewable energy technology.
