Corpus Christi Beach is Clear of Oil

Corpus Christi is Currently Oil Free. We have 65 miles of Beaches Waiting for You

(Corpus Christi, TX - July) Currently Corpus Christi and Upper Padre Island beaches have NOT been affected by the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Corpus Christi shares more than 65 miles of gulf and bay beaches out of the 624 miles of Texas Coastline. Texas Tourism reassures travelers not to cancel plans to visit the Lone Star State.

- Corpus Christi's beaches remain open to the public and are unaffected by the Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill at this time.
- City officials and the Convention & Visitors Bureau are closely monitoring the oil spill and will keep tourists and visitors informed. Both entities are in close contact with state officials.
- The city of Corpus Christi environmental and beach maintenance teams have the experience and resources needed to clean tar from our beaches if necessary.
- Any Corpus Christi visitors with concerns are encouraged to contact the Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau at 800-678-OCEAN
