Eastern drops last remaining Arizona community college football program

After Maricopa Community College ended its football programs, Pima Community College, Arizona Western College and finally Eastern Arizona College dropped the sport, bringing the number of Arizona junior colleges with football down to zero from seven.

The three-semester initiative, launching next summer, seeks initially to recruit 45 men of color from City Colleges of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and the community for coursework at Truman College, internships and a mentoring component pairing them with 15 male educators of color within City Colleges and CPS.
